Perception of medical-surgical wards’ patients from safety culture: A cross-sectional and multicenter study

Background and aims: Identifying the strengths weaknesses of safety culture in hospitals can be basis for developing plans to improve status patients. This study aimed determine level patient (PSC) from their view medical-surgical wards five teaching Zanjan. Methods: cross-sectional was performed on 245 patients admitted Zanjan, Iran, 2020-Agust-22 2020-November-21. Poisson time sampling method used. Data collection using a demographic information questionnaire PSC scale. The data were analyzed SPSS 18 descriptive statistics, independent t test, one-way analysis variance. Results: mean total 3.63±0.60 out 5. highest related organizing planning care (3.87±0.71) communication teamwork (3.80±0.70). lowest dissemination (3.31±0.60). Conclusion: Safety or, other words, patients’ perception situation prevailing studied moderate. Therefore, it needs upgraded improved. Among various dimensions patient-perceived safety, manner extent sharing worse. It is suggested that made direct actions patient’s general field particular.
